"... full maturity.
...her new presence has been widely celebrated by the public.
amazon is a jubilant symphonic poem,
also for mega-orchestra,
with animation and joy as primary ingredients.
An admirable orchestrator,
she handles the sections and the tutti
with authentic virtuosity,
making the sporty and playful ideas shine
with unbeatable colour richness,
while the "affetti" sing on the strings with tenderness
capable of compensating and balancing
the enormous mass that she creates
and projects from the percussions
as a spectacular ensemble.
A packed auditorium and huge ovations."

WELTSAITEN SINFONIETTA
KONZERT IN THE MONASTERY OF FISCHINGEN
Gloria Isabel Ramos Triano
Conductor
A world premiere of a work commissioned by the Weltsaiten Sinfonietta
to catalan composer Jordi Capellas
"The Weltsaiten Sinfonietta
presented new expressionist music at Fischingen Monastery
Conductor Gloria Isabel Ramos Triano is considered
an expert on music from the Mediterranean region,
as well as on the music of the 20th century.
With the work "El Pas del Temps"
by the Catalan composer Jordi Capellas (*1962),
she presented very fresh, if not quite as new-sounding music.
With full physical commitment
The three movements, "Mirant per la finestra" (View from the window), "
Sol a l'estudi" (Alone in the study) and "Retrobament" (Reunion),
were pretty, slightly expressionistic miniatures,
solidly constructed in the attentively acting strings,
gradually shifting more and more
from the consonant to the free-tonal overtone range.
The conductor used her full body to shape the transitions,
which had to be carried out very consciously and precisely.
The pizzicato passages in all the string sections were charming,
and despite the Mediterranean flair,
they were somehow reminiscent of the "Simple Symphony"
by the Englishman Benjamin Britten.
Capellas' composition is casual feel-good music,
harmonically rather harmless,
but even such tones are colorful facets of contemporary music.
Dvořák, Strings Serenade op. 22
Very nice the Vivace,
energetically led by Ramos Triano,
an enchantingly mysterious Larghetto
and the daring tempo changes in the final movement
were fun to listen to.
A nice program, presented in a lively way,
actually perfect for listening newcomers to classical music."

«Noches en los jardines de España»
«Noteworthy is the management of Gloria Isabel Ramos,
very well organized, precise,
she demonstrated a profound knowledge of the work.
She knew how to bring to light the influence of Ravel y Debussy in this work
- as to be expected from a musician with an affinity for the music of the XX century and contemporary music - but also the mystery, the atmosphere,
the magic of the Andalusian night, and the rhythms derived from copla and flamenco. Only the sound of the orchestra seemed strange and sparse in dynamics, without being able to overcome the tonal limitations caused by the distances between the musicians, as well as the numerous methacrylate partitions in which the sound bounced, the orchestral opulence of this piece with only 4 cellos and 2 double basses defying. "
«El sombrero de tres picos, Suites 1 and 2»
«Nonetheless, Ramos completed a wonderful version of this music,
with visionary construction, transparent textures, clear representation,
with the ability to create climaxes,
and uncompromisingly indulged the rhythmic impulse of the dances,
finally culminating in a vibrating« Jota final »,
penetrating, intense, brilliant."

"New Perspectives"
«Nobody would have guessed that, behind the unambiguous title « La Torre del Oro » , the conductor Gloria Isabel Ramos Triano would have created such an abstract composition. She describes her own music as "eclectic", but the gift she gave the Seville Symphony Orchestra with this score - of more carats than anyone would have imagined - is linked directly to the current moment of compositional creation, in a free one Atonality, with suggestive percussive licenses that softly suggest the world of the unambiguous Spanish sounds of Rodrigo and Manuel de Falla »

«... very small, very delicate, she floated to the baton. But what she then celebrated at the desk! Fascinating! Light-footed, graceful almost like a dance, the arms from the suppleness of a ballerina -to the tips of the fingers. Then again surprising, demanding, powerful. The podium as a stepping stone, as if she wanted to ask the musicians to take off at the same time. Her idiosyncratic aesthetic of conducting (with or without a baton) paired intense body language with great ability and an intelligent understanding of music. Gloria Isabel Ramos Triano was also the most interesting personality in a long time to present herself as a guest conductor. And it made you curious about more »

«When performing compositions by French Impressionists, the music has to indulge. In this respect, Gloria Isabel Ramos Triano was the right woman to conduct the Thuringia Philharmonic Gotha-Suhl. The guest conductor not only looks like a prima ballerina, she also conducted like this: with large gestures, soft and flowing movements and the right impulse at the right time.

SPANISH TEMPERAMENT WITH MADAME DYNAMITE
"... wonderful orchestral piano and sonorous solo episodes caught the audience's attention ..."
«With the symphony of Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga, one could then best understand
that the conductor, after her first international successes, was referred to as the Spanish «Madame Dynamit».
Ramos Triano conducted (...) really with fire.
In doing so, she did not allow any compromises in terms of precision.
With variable tempos she found very harmonious, lively phrasing and developed a clean, transparent sound full of Mozartian grace.
At the same time, and this is really the highest level of orchestral art, she played with a fine range of different sound characters, from the soft, almost breathy pianissimo to wonderfully opening cantilenas to sharp string tones, e.g. in the minuetto and in the spirited allegro of the finale, the tonal sweetness flavored very impressively
With the whole concert, but especially with the final symphony,
the Spanish conductor conquered the hearts of the Magdeburg audience ... »

BEETHOVEN Egmont
“… The young star in the orchestra conductor's sky offered us the best interpretation of Beethoven's“ Egmont ”that I can remember. With her gestures she brings out the pure essence of the orchestra. She wields the baton precisely, powerfully and precisely; she knows how to give instructions to the musicians. With the expressive gestures of the left hand, she shows nuances, from the smallest to the largest. Her strength does not destroy the grandiose, nor does the feeling dissolve the figure. With one word; an incredibly talented conductor. Gloria Isabel Ramos Triano, not only interprets, she lives, she brings the musicians to life and gives them confidence. Bravo, Gloria Isabel! "
El Dia, 1996
«A spectacular and intelligent orchestra conductor (...) from the first work with which the program opened, Beethoven's overture Egmont, she demonstrated her passionate temperament and her special way of conducting. She gives herself completely to the composer's dramatic thinking. (...) Her spectacular sforzandi are impressive, full of strength and commitment. No less impressive is her expressiveness, which she gives to the quiet passages in the presented phrases of the introduction "Sostenuto ma non troppo". She makes our souls vibrate and we are already letting our conducting style agree. The contrasts in the portrayal of the revolutionary personality from Goethe's tragedy, the hero who was crushed by the revolution in the Netherlands, and the love of Clara, she describes with tremendously expressive eloquence and immediately moves on to the Allegro, the core of the drama, where the uprising and the Rebellion against Spanish rule come to the fore. And here we meet a fiery Gloria Isabel, who personally leads the revolutionary leaders in their struggle for freedom at a very lively pace, which almost takes the musicians' breath away, but inspires them.
The second work in the program, the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra by Bela Bartok, which Gloria Isabel Ramos Triano was the only one to conduct with a score, was characterized by perfect precision. She never denied the orchestra its own dialogue. Whether in dialogue or as accompaniment, the orchestra always made it possible for the soloist to shine with all his expressiveness in this very difficult piece.
The hardest part was Tchaikovsky's 6th Symphony. What I heard that evening was something very special. Gloria Isabel had first stopped and then immersed herself fully in the work. She offered us a very clear and expressive interpretation (...), which gave her extreme gestures a special gentleness. There is no doubt that this young conductor has a thorough understanding of the overall structure and expression ...) She leaves nothing to chance and her phenomenal memory leads her to take care of the different parts of the whole, which are often complex because of their contrapuntal treatment and then again simple because of their homophony. The dynamic qualities that she was able to elicit from our excellent orchestra by giving herself body and soul were astonishing. She is aware that all the elements that make up a score are subject to an idea. She never lost sight of that. Her intelligence was always above emotion without allowing her to agree; she could always control them, which is amazing for a woman with such temperament.
I can say that of the numerous concerts I have ever attended, very, very few have impressed me as much as this »
